Born in 1969 in China. Lives in Pekin.
"Fen. Maliuming" is the nickname of a human beeing
with a female face and a male body. In China, "Fen",
feminin gende, also means separate.
The artist produces this ambivalent aspect by separating
the character from reality and by playing with sexual
origin and identity transformation.
He also studies the relationship between performance
and the public in his actions for a few years,
thus creating a spontaneous interactivity.
In Bejing, he is active in a sort of underground,
where he actually has been jailed,
Ma Liuming is a coming up character in the fields
of performance and plastic arts.
His presence has been especially noticed durind
the last Venise Biennale.
