Andy Warhol is a synonym for modern art. When most people think of modern art, they think of some or most famous works by Warhol. He was not only instrumental in the field of pop art, it has a fixed value in the art scene and nightlife of New York. His friends helped to create all these interesting characters, some of the most surreal pieces of film in American history.
Andy Warhol was born Andrew Warhola was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania Ondrej and Julia Warhola who emigrated from Slovakia. As his art began to grow in popularity, he began experimenting with screen printing, film and sculpture, “The Factory” (Warhol’s 47th Street studio in New York).
Warhol was also responsible for inventing the phrase “15 minutes of fame” and is told that his 15 minutes each at some point in their lives.
